Stick to the Joining the Navy forum till after you graduate and that shot wears off.

USS Liberty, Never Forget.

That shot in the keister is nothing compared to the square needle shot in the boys.... Man that one hurt like h*ll.....

Have you guys ever forgot this shot? I know I haven't... My skin still crawls...

This is the kinder and gentler Navy... there are no more shots and no needles to speak of.

The shot in the seat didn't hurt as much as the one in the arm. Then you fell into ranks and the Company Commander called "At normal interval, dress right, dress" resulting in the arm of the guy next to you being stuck straight out and the fingers hitting the injection site on your arm.

I remember that one from sub school, the big square needle and everything. Hurt like a muther. Don’t even have any idea what they were shooting up in there though.

I heard they changed from the left testicle to the right one. Is that true? And yes they do hurt like a maternal copulator.

When we got ours, there were four of us guys facing each other across a small table, while a large woman who resembled "Brunhilda" made her rounds, administering the shot to each one in turn. I believe it was a penicilin shot, but I swear that needle was a foot long.

Afterwards, our whole company was sitting on the deck, rolling our butts on the floor, trying to even out the lump. Everyone had the same miserable look on their face.

Remember when the RDC told you not to jump out of your rack the next day and you looked at them like, yeah, wtf ever? And then you jumped out of the top rack the next morning like you always do, and almost eat major poop in front of your division?

Oh yeah, and I've got a gripe to bring up. And you DEPPERs should listen up. don't be that Dirt bag who realizes that if they say they're allergic to penicillin even though there's no record of it in your medical record. Nobody likes that guy. Your division will find out if you're THAT GUY, the HM's don't like THAT GUY, and the only thing you got yourself out of was 30 seconds of embarrassment and 5 minutes of soreness. Suck it up and deal with it, its part of the experience.

mpwimmer, yeah they moved it to the left one for sub vols, but the right for everyone else except surface nukes. They get it in both sides in case they decide to go subs later.

Yes, the shot wasn't bad. It's hopping out of your rack the next day and faceplanting because your legs don't work that sucks.
