When I purchased Verizon Wireless and asked for a military discount I was told they offered a 15% discount for active duty but not military retired or veterans. I petitioned the corporate office to review their policy and received a reply stating that Verizon would offer a 15% discount to new and existing military customers with proof of service. An ID card or DD214. The discount is on the main account only. It worked for Me!

You probably could make it work if you had an army.mil email address.

Yes just show your ID. I believe it only works for spouses when you go in person sinnce we don't have the mil email address. |

You can have a military email address, your spouse just needs to sponsor the account through AKO (if you're Army).

Help me out here. I'm a bit confused. If I got this straight, Verizon's original policy was to offer the 15% discount only to active duty folks. "Fuehr" wrote" they now offer a that 15% to "new and existing military customers with proof of service", but goes on to say that you can show a DD214, which you don't get until you're separated...i.e., not "existing" customers. Does this mean that they now give that 15% to vets, like myself, too? Thanks for the clarification. I'm going to call Verizon, too, to check this out. 15% is 15%. Thx again.
