I ordered my Banner last week...If anyone wants the link to this just send me a message and i will e-mail you the link, these are great banners and you can customize them any way you want. These banners go for about $70 and you can get them for free all you have to do is pay for shipping and handling, these are vinal banners. I added pictures to mine of the family
 I can't wait for Homecoming now, I have the Banner done, I bought my dress (still need shoes though) Bought jewlery, and he is not due home till the end of summer next year...lol But i like bargains and could'nt resist, so i bought it now |

I got my build a banner a couple of weeks ago. It's very nice, high quality and is going to look great stretched across the front of the yard this Spring when hubby comes home. It was WELL WORTH the 13.00 shipping that I paid. A banner like this would have cost me over 100.00 here locally. I think it's a great service that this company is doing.
Nobody said Life would be easy. They just promised it would be worth it. |

I agree they are very high quality banner and yes it will cost quite a bit to get one made especially if you choose to have a picture on the banner or have more than your usual two colors. |

I'm just wondering if anyone can give me some advice on this. Thanks for posting this thread by the way!
My DH is going up for Chief in January. We all know how it can be weeks before they know who passed and even LONGER for them to actually start getting paid for it. (I still can't believe the pay isn't retroactive to the date they actually passed and start wearing the uniform!) Anyhow, we're almost half way through the deployment at this point and I'd like the banner to annotate his being promoted to Chief if he makes it. I heard that these banners aren't actually made as soon as you place the order; that it's made only just before the event date that you specify when placing the order. Do I have time to wait and make sure he does make Chief before I submit my order for one of the free banners? Also, I'm having a really hard time finding a good quality image of the Navy AT Insignia that I'd like to use on the banner as well. If anyone can offer some advice on this, and tell me where I can find a high quality image of that rate I'd really appreciate it! Thanks and happy holidays to you all! |

I would advice you to put the event date on their website as being earlier than the actual event date to avoid any delays. You might also want to make your profile public as it is private right now in the event someone need to send you a link to where to find the image you needed |

Thanks for the help. I've changed my profile to public, yet when I click on my username in the forum and try to view my profile it says it's still private. I went into the Personal Zone Page, then under Personal Information I checked the box for "My Profile is Public". It still shows as checked, but if I try to view the profile the message comes up saying it's private. What am I doing wrong? I'd like to be able to receive the info on this banner also, but so far I can't get this change to work.

That is quite odd but maybe when someone post here you can message them and give your email. Now my next "Q" is can you send a message to anyone? You can try and message me to test it if you want. Try this, clear your cookies and login again and try and check that box again to make your profile Public, a lot of times when you start over it works |

I think I may have figured out the banner website but not sure. If it's where you can get either a 2'X4' or a 3'X6' banner free? If so, in actuality how are the sizes for these banners? I'd obviously be waiting either at or outside the pier during homecoming. I obviously don't want something too small but also don't want something huge either. What size would you all recommend and can you give me something to compare the sizes to for a better understanding of their actual size? Thanks again everyone, and happy holidays!!

I am glad everything works now. I ordered the 3'x6'which is as a little wider than a regular house window. It is pretty impressive when you get it. Shipping was less than $9 the first I ordered it and the second time they advertise it, shipping went to $12.50 for me here in CA but nothing to complain as it would cost me way more to get one made. |

Thank you so much for all of your help. I'm trying to visualize the size so your reference about the window helps a lot. I'd be holding the sign on my own and that's why I'm asking so many questions about it. I don't know if the sign would need some sort of rigid backing so that I could hold it at the top and have it be flat and visible. I still can't find the Navy AT insignia that's of good quality but I'm still trying. Thanks again and I hope I can make up my mind soon so I can order the banner and have it ready by the time DH returns in April!
