I was able to save over 400.00 on my PCS move by taking my Penske quote in to a local Budget location. They easily met the Penske price, but also saved us $400.00!!!!

Guess you caught them on a bad day...I have PCSed three times and by far Penske has saed us the most money...a considerable amount! Stay clear of uhaul! By calling Penske I have always received the 10% online discount in addition to the 10% military! Budget was fairly close, a few hundred over Penske, but once you consider the fuel savings that the diesel Penske's have over the gasoline Budgets and Uhaul you will be convinced. My family has a long history with Uhaul....they manage a few stores and they tell me that Penske is the way to go!

Same here. I've used Penske for local and cross country moves. Their trucks are newer and more reliable. Cross country will cost a lot. But I paid a lot less with Penske!

So i'm glad that i came across this discussion...cuz i just reserved a penske truck for my move from WI to LA in Dec. Penske so far has seemed to be the cheapest route that i can find!!!! Anyone have any other suggestions or ideas...for moving us in the cheapest ways!?!?!?
