I finally got a discount in my newsletter that I was interested in, one for Coffee. I read the discount page for Coffee Beanery, and decided to check out what they had to offer.

Well, to put it politely, nothing.

When you click on the link on the discount page, it takes you to http://www.coffeebeaneryonline.com which simply tells you "License has expired."

Some sleuthing reveals that their web commerce site is broken - the home page at Coffee Beanery works, and they'll gladly tell you all about the business and their locations, but you can't buy a darned thing from them except gift cards which are handled through a completely different site.

Does Military.com do any type of validation for these discounts? If not, you should start verifying that the links work, at a minimum.

Well, my 2-cents is a little more direct, but also quite unfavorable to this merchant.
I was able to get onto their site. I saw what they are offering (which isn't that great). The real gripe is this ... even AFTER the 25% discount that they are offering us, the price is STILL twice as much as the "regular" price that I pay for beans from another online merchant.
WHY would I want to go through the fuss of getting their 25% discount, and then pay over $9 per pound, when I am paying $4 per pound for the same coffee ... "without" any discount?
A deal is supposed to be an attractive incentive. This is a rip-off, plain and simple.
To make this offer to our military and gov't employees is an insult!

This maybe a no-no, but I'm going to do it anyway! If you want AWESOME coffee, and a great price, contact www.coffeebeandirect.com . They have a huge selection of high-quality coffee, tea, and other related items at great prices. They even have sales and discounted items all the time ... without any muss-or-fuss!!

The coffee beanery site is up (it must have been a temporary blip) I found their products to be very much in line price wise with other national companies selling 1 pound quantities...If purchasing 25 poinds at a time is your thing then I guess I agree it can be as low as $5/lb.....I wonder how long it stays fresh...
