This isn't a question, just maybe something for those thinking about enlisting. I just went to MEPS earlier this week, and it was the greatest experience of my life so far. Ok, so I may have had to show my junk, pee in a cup, and look like the skiniest mother up there, but it was great. MEPS definitely makes you see things differently. The greatest part of the day was the enlisting ceremony, or Oath of Enlistment. It could have just been the officer who swore my group in, but his speech after the oath somehow made something inside me click. It definitely changed how I see people/civilians now. It gives you a greater respect for the things we take for granted. It is an empowering feeling, but you put that empowerment on the back-burner when around civilians and show how respectful our Armed Forces are. MEPS is only scary if you stress yourself out too much before going up there. Just keep your head, be respectful to everyone up there, make sure you look nice (no sagging or really baggy clothes) and every thing will go smoothly.
