I want to become an air force medical officer or a biomedical equipment specialist, but I am in my first semester of college right now. I am taking medical office administration but I am sure that this is NOT the profession I want to be in considering the type of work and the pay. I am seriously considering going to the air force right now so that when I get in I can continue my education and the sooner, the better. I have no idea of what I would need to do to become an officer except graduate from OTS. What options do I have as far as finishing my education FIRST while in the air force OR becoming an officer THEN going active duty?
You can go to airforce.com and talk to an adviser or contact the local health professions recruiter. You can actually put in a package prior to graduation and there are programs to assist you in paying for a medical degree. Airforce.com would get you the local HP recruiter.

Thanks..I appreciate this information because for some reason I cannot get in touch with a recruiter because the closest one to me is about 2 hours away and whenever I call I cant get an answer. I will try to talk to a recruiter asap because I am very serious about this and excited to get the ball rolling.
