I have always had difficulity with taking any type of test. I was told that I have ADD and I see test and go into a panic attacks, Its like nothing I see makes any sense. My life long dream is to be in the United States Army, but if I can pass the placement test how am I to live out my dream. I have the abilty, I have the drive and determination. I know that I can be proud of what I can accomplish, Please tell me if there are other ways to join other than passing this god forsaken test.
Yes, I seem to have done better on the written test. You know what, I am not going to give up. I will continue to take the practice test unitl I acheive my goal.

ADD and panic attacks can be a DQ even if you get a good score on the ASVAB. You will need to get whatever medical records you have on this so MEPS can make a determination/recommendation.
Thanks, I make sure I do just that. Even though I have choosen not to take medication for the ADD even in highschool I never considered that it too could keep me off track.
When you say you chose not to take meds, did you not take any meds prescribed to you, or did you never get prescribed any. That can make a big differnce.
It should be one of the easiest tests you ever take, considering you payed attention in school.
Or so you would think. I had someone with a master's degree fail the ASVAB. He did hit the books though, and made a qualifying score on it the second time around.
I had more than a few prior service fail the ASVAB, including one applicant who was prior service Coast Guard. Most of these folks had been out of school for more than a few years, and I think that they'd forgotten many of the educational fundamentals.
