Hello I don't have a greencard and I am not a US citizen. However right now I am legally in the US as a international student, my visa status is F-1... Can I join the military??? Also, I can do 50 push-ups and 55 sit-ups straight in a row, and I do one mile in 12.45... But I use glasses (they are not too high, but I still need them), is that an issue when I want to recruit????

You need to be a resident (greencard holder). What you can do in a PFT and your eyesight issues are moot points until you become a resident. "If you focus on results, you will NOT get change. If you focus on change, you WILL get results."

Ricardo (the name on Numbers' profile), What country are you from? Are you from Brazil or Portugal by any chance? Just assuming that from your surname. I think that going back to your home country and joining your home country's military would be more within your reach than trying to immigrate the long way there in the States and becoming an work visa slave and working years and years just to get that greencard. Unless you have an American girlfriend who's willing to marry you. Trust me I used to be in your position. (was an F1 visa holder in the States for 6 years for the latter half of high school and college and got a work permit after I graduated from college there, but it didn't work out). Still, I was fortunate enough to be able to immigrate here to Canada (family immigrated on investor visa status) and have but 10 more months to go before I am eligble to apply for Canadian citzenship. My only point is that you should do what's more within a reasonable reach unless you are fully committed to staying there that long and getting a greencard. If you either don't like your home country's military or happen to come from a country that doesn't have a military (like the Vatican, Iceland or Costa Rica), there's always the French Foreign Legion. Good luck on whatever you decide.
