depends where your qualifications are from, and which agency they have used to evaluate them (when i went in there were 3 my recuirter could pick from with a UK set of quals) but average about 4 weeks could Be more could be less but look at 4, my friend from south africa said his took about 8 but this was a few years ago.
also depends if your currently stateside or not, and if you have more then a high school education from overseas that need evaluating |

VERY INFORMATIVE!!! thanks for sharing and sparing your time!!! Greatly appreciated! Now I do understand why my recruiter said he is now having trouble on my transcript. I got my first degree BSBA-MSI in 1996 and my second degree BSN in 2007 and got 36 units of Master in Business Administration, all in the Philippines. Once again thank you so much! |

Are your trying to join as a Nurse? Are you talking to an Officer Recruiter for Health Care? Are you a US Citizen?

Same questions that I had. You certainly have the education credentials to enter as a nurse (an officer billet). You might not even need to be a U.S. citizen to do this. I know that the military is recruiting non-U.S. citizens into certain fields and I believe that the medical fields are included.

First of all... I would like to thank for your time sharing whatever you might think could best help me. I went already to army recruiter specifically for nursing mos but they said I can't go for an officer since I'm not US citizen. They said I could only join as enlisted and wait for my citizenship and pursue the officer career once I'm citizen already. Which I think not bad idea to see both sides of the coin "enlisted & officer's world". I posted my concern to have an idea of how long it usually takes for transcript to get evaluated and I learned from here that it varies and now I do understand why my recruiter said he is having trouble to get my transcript evaluated since its a foreign education and got 2 degrees and 36 units of Master in different schools. Once again sir thank you so much sparing time on my concern. |
