RE: http://www.military.com/opinion/0,15202,136255,00.html What a boob! Ol' ice-cream boy Joe Galloway is so intent upon his Bush bashing that his ramble on sentences hardly seem to make sense anymore. If it is President Bushes legacy that he carry the burden of bad choices after the presidency, then why is it now necessary to rub salt into those wounds? It isn't going to bring anybody back and it is only bashing for bashing's sake. Suck another persimmon, Joe Galloway!
I'm a big fan of Joe Galloway; but this commentary adds nothing to the body of his work. Joe is at his best when he connects personal human stories with the great cosmic forces that are driving all of us. He's just sounding off in this one.
We had a president having extramarital affairs in the Oval Office, selling America out to the Chinese and doing nothing about the numerous terrorist attacks on our forces and interest all over the world. We had a president involved in the killing of American citizens(no matter they were kooks)at Ruby Ridge and Waco. He took nothing serious about our security. And this boob, Joe Galloway, relentlessly attacks George Bush. I am by no means in agreement with everything this president has done or is doing. But he is a far better president than Bill Clinton. If the war is lost then why are we still being attacked. The war will never end. Do we rake all the mayors and governors over the coals because there is still crime in our country? Maybe we need to redeploy all our police forces since it is obvious we are losing the drug war and the war on crime. Let's use some common sense. This war will go on as long as a deranged people teach their children that to behead an infidel is good and they will be rewarded. We do not need the cowards of this country to hinder our fight. I agree we all need to have our say, however, for Military.com to use this guy as a credible source for news or information is beyond me. He needs to just sound off like the rest of us. Semper Fidelis, Joel Cheney
I have always had a great respect for Joe Galloway, especially since he went into Battle with the 2nd of the 7th Cavalry, "Garry Owen"! All he went in with was a camera, but now I believe this guy must be in his first stages of Dementia, and starting to lose it badly! That was 42 years ago, if I am correct, so how old does that make him? Must be a Prime Candidate for a very bad desease, one I would not wish on anyone! I believe he has forgotten the cost and sacrifice of winning! That was one Battle I wouldn't wish on anyone, out numbered 10 to 1..... with no help on the way!
I don't want these Troops to come Home to what we did from Nam! They all deserve better then that, but the Liberals don't give a D*** about the Troops, just making Bush look bad, that is all they care about! It is a shame!!!
The two worst Presidents in history, the peanut farmer from Georgia and the chronic liar from Arkansas did not deal with the middle eastern terrorist countries appropriately when needed. As a result they thought they could continue to do as they damn well pleased. Along comes GW and that crap stopped. Look what happened to Libya when it raised its terrorist head and Reagan took care of it. Joel Cheney is right, this war will continue from now on. The only question is where we will be fighting it. As for me, I'm ready to go back again for the third time, better there than here. So shut up Galloway and quit working for the enemy; both foreign and domestic.
"Have they found any using that information? Have they unearthed terror cells with more potential than the ones in Florida and New Jersey that were penetrated and perhaps manipulated by FBI informants? That sort of terrorist isn't half so frightening as George W. Bush and Dick Cheney. "
Terrorist manipulated by the FBI? President George Bush & VP Cheney are more frightening than some terrorists? Sounds more like conspiracy theories than an op-ed.
Vote for Senator John McCain and see what Joe says. The alternative is Hussien Obama who's father and step-father are radical Islamists,Hillary who says it is ok to murder babies in their mother's womb. We are country that values human life? I have always liked Joe. He is always good reading, like him or not. I ask myself where would we be if Al Gore won. God works in strange ways. Stop Jihad
This is something that bothers me. When did we stop calling the CIC President__________! I took a pledge long ago which did not stop at Separations Co. No matter who is in office I will respect the office of President. We have lowered our standards somehow. This trash talk must have been started by the media. There is way too much money in media that HATES our country. Jihadwatch.com
Well, I can see that the willfully stupid are alive and kicking. That 28% has got to be the dumbest, most naive, group in the country. Last I knew a BJ did not cause hundreds of thousands of deaths, and more than two million refugees. And Jimmy Carter, a real Christian, never willfully killed anybody. I don't care to know where these Dumb Bush toadies live, but nearly EVERYONE I meet is deathly sick of Bush/Cheney and are counting the days until they go back to their fake ranches. Maybe then Bush can learn to ride a horse and Cheney can go shoot some of that 28%. Joe is right on target.
I don't know what your talking about Joe. This American hasn't turned his back on the President, none of my many friends have or anyone else I know. You and your jerk liberal buddies keep using the phrase "most Americans" based on your liberal media's biased polls!
Most of the people I know think that President Bush, Tony Blair and John Howard have more courage in their pinky fingers than all you numbnuts put together. We all know that you have the constitutional right to say these falacies you write about, but your statement that most Americans agree with you is a lie!
I suspect that Mr. Galloway is venting his frustration over President Bush's inability to achieve victory in Iraq. I strongly agree that we have not lost nor can we afford to let down our gaurd to these terrorists. Unfortunately, President Bush seems unwilling to listen to alternatives regarding victory in Iraq.
Our forces need to be removed from the cities and towns and placed out in the desert. By doing this, the Iraqis will finally be able to weed out the weak and install the strong. Then we can deal with the actual people in charge of the Iraqi government. Diplomacy does not work for these people. Strength through violence does.

Wow, Dai Uy...you sure know how to suck up to ol' Ice Cream Joe. Somebody kick sand in yer sno-cone, did they? Joe Galloway is a washed up has-been and like the Dixie Chicks...I'm ashamed he's from Texas.
