Anyone else having problems after SP1? Vista was pretty bad anyways, but after I installed the service pack, my computer is twice as slow on start-up and shut-down. My IE also locks up sometimes for no reason. I also had to reinstall a couple of my programs.

I've had every MS OS since Win95 and this is far worst than ME. Wish I never would of gotten my laptop with this installed.

And back to SP1; I see no advantage to having this patch. If you have the option I would say don't install it.

Damn by those specs your copy of vista should be running like a champ. Have you done a fresh install since you got your laptop? With my Dell XPS gen2, they installed all kinds of crapware with the factory image and even though it was ok out of the box a fresh winXP install did wonders for game/system performance.

If that doesn;t help... well thats just one more reason to stay away from vista.
