Blu-Ray technology is sweet! The clarity is absolutely amazing. As long as you have the TV to appreciate it on, it's worth the money.

Thanks, I looked at the price of Blu-Ray players and they cost $400. A PS3 with a Blu-Ray is $400. I look at it and say "duh". I guess I'll buy a PS3 tomorrow.
Thanks!

DJ, I just hooked it up and it works great. The Blu-Ray disks look awesome. Haven't played a game yet. I only bought Call of Duty 4. This sucker got expensive fast. Buy the player, a few good movies, a remote for the Blu-Ry player a game and an HDMI cable and we're talking serious change.
Figuring out how the controllers work was interesting. Thank God for the manuals were easy to use.

My wife would not believe me on how much better the Blu-Ray discs look compared to standard DVD until I popped in BBC's Planet Earth on my 40" 1080p. She's changed woman. LOL..

I don't have a PS3 but I was curious what you thought of NCAA 08. I remember you said you didn't like Madden when 360 launched, and since NCAA is very similar in gameplay I was wondering if you like the way the game has evolved over the last 3 years.

Not bad but it hasn't changed in the way of gameplay since PS2 days and sometimes a bit slow running during the play. I did rent Madden 08 for PS# which was much visually pleasing and seems to run smoother. I will probably Madden 09 this year instead of NCAA.

Keep in mind that Madden and NCAA run at only 30 fps on the PS3 as opposed to 60 fps on the 360 so that accounts for the slowdown during the play.
