I just got the thing for Christmas; this system is awesome! Right now all I have is Assassin's Creed and Ridge Racer 7 but I plan on picking up COD4 and Ratchet and Clank shortly. Is there anyone else in Coastie land that stuck with Sony?

I picked one up. Right now I'm trying to sell it. Just my opinion but this system sucks. The only good thing is Blu-Ray is better then HD DVD. I should've done my researh better. I'm kinda ebarrased. My 360 is so much better it's kinda ridiculous.....

DJ_COAST on the PS3 network. Any FIFA08 players?? My son and I are more into sports games, Madden, FIFA, ect. I'll keep my eye out for ya's though...djc.

I have a lot of friends that share the same opinion, they have been X-box fans for years, I guess its hard to "cross over". I have been a sony fan, and thus I purchased the PS3, and I think the graphics are truly amazing and better than the 360. But they are both great systems. The decision factor for me was the built in Blue Ray player. Also because its a newer system that can be constantly updated. They say Madden 09' will be better than the 360 next year. Madden 08' is better for 360 this year, because it was the first year they made it for PS3. They caught alot of heat for that and plan on blowing away the competition for 09'. Pretty soon there will be just as many games available for PS3 as there are for 360 once they catch up.

For those who are planning on buying a blue ray player, I say just buy a PS3 for $400 instead of a plain one for almost the same price...more for the buck, plus it can be updated in the future when the older blue ray players will not be able to fully support the discs in the like the PS3 will.

The funny thing is, I am not even big into electronics or the gamer scene, I did alot of research and googling before I made my purchase and learned alot about both systems.

Make Sure your Clan name is USCG or else you will not be teamed together. I am sorry, but I had a death in the family and will not be online for at least 2 weeks, see you then.

Sorry, I don't check this site that often anymore. Boot camp... good lord that was ages ago!

Not being a Sony fan PERIOD.. I broke down and got both my boys a PSP. I kinda like it. It surfs (love the internet radio plugin), plays movies and oh yes, plays games too. Not too bad for a 170 bucks. Sad thing though, they don't get much play except long trips. Little one still jumps on his Wii when he's allowed and oldest still is banging away with GH and RB on his 360 (1 of 2 in the house). He can have a PS3 but only after he gets a job and can pay for it himself. He was told up front when they came out. NO PS3 requests will be granted. There is a PS2 under the tube and it doesn't get played unless it's me and Ghost Recon.

Thinking of buying one. How is the Blu-Ray disk?
