My sons picked up the new game. Kevin and I played it last night since you can play coop in the off-line campaign mode.

Instead of a full split screen, it goes into slightly smaller screens...not sure why, and it makes it a bit more difficult to see what the heck you are shooting at.

The quality of graphics are as good as COD4.

It's WWII instead of present day as in COD3. You'll switch from being a US Marine to Russian Infantry to follow the two storylines.

Not bad but a bit more hectic than COD3 with guys jumping right out in front of you from the grass and coming at you with bayonets.

Still playing and will get back to you guys with more.

Oh ya, another thing...you can drive tanks in this like Bad Company. Kevin (my son) said that he saw pictures of later in the game you are a gunner in a PBY.

ConfusedHad to come back and correct the COD editions...I thought the last one was COD4 but my son kept confusing me.

Just an update;

My son was playing the online battles and they looked very impressive. I think anyone trying the online version will be happy with it.

With online, like other games when you get three kills you can get air support, etc. One of the rewards you can get for this is to sick the German Shepherds on the enemy. The dogs can flush them out of hiding. Pretty cool! Plus, the maps were a fairly large area.

Sorry DJ....I didn't see your post earlier.

No, we're playing it on XBox 360.

You can either;

A) run an ethernet cable from your computer to your XBox 360

or

B) get a wireless system...buy the XBox antenna ($100) and a router for your computer (I paid about $50).

The reason I went with "B" is because my computer is in the back room and my XBox is hooked up in the livingroom.

I was hoping I could just hook up to my cable box somehow since I have my computer on a cable modem already. Guess I'll go with:

C) None of the above.

Thanks for the info though!

Man, I'm not much of an expert when it comes to this stuff but I don't see a problem. Just use the ethernet cable. I think that ought to do but I may be wrong.

I too have my computer hooked up through cable.

Since the computer is in one room and the TV in the other I don't see my wife apprecaiting me running a cable across the floor, through the dining room, down the hall...... Big Grin

I'll talk to the teenage boy next door. I know he has an Xbox and plays on line, so I figure he's probably an expert!

Well it sounds to me that the way to do it is the same way I have mine set up.

An XBox 360 Wireless adaptor that you can get at a Walmart or Best Buy for around $100

and some brand of router...I got mine at Walmart for $50 but you may be able to go cheaper. This is what I have.

The set up for this is somewhat easy enough to do. The router is hooked up to your computer and is kept near it. It sends the computer signal across your home to your XBox wireless antenna.

Actually,

Your router should be plugged into your modem, not your computer.

It is definitely a good purchase to get the wireless adapter for the 360 if you are using wireless in your home.

The co-op on Nazi Zombies is awesome. If that was only in COD4.....

Speaking of Modern Warfare, it looks like COD: Modern Warfare 2 is due out fall of 2009.

When i first bought this game, I wasnt as happy with it as I was with Modern Warefare but now I think I like it more. Call of Duty just keeps on coming out with game of the year type of games.

I git my X-Box for Christmas and didn't think I would use it much. I started playing COD and a co-worker told me about X-Box live. I bought a 3 month card to give it a try. I have made my way up to Rank=40 and can't seem to put it down. This game is more addictive than smoking. No wonder kids are on-line for days and days. I can now understand. I sure would like to try some private matches. My screen name is "Paramedic Pops" if someone would like to give a private match a try. Game on!!!

You probably will never see me playing COD, World at War. Every time I play, I average probably 4 kills and suffer 15 deaths. For the sake of the other players, I've moved on to other games. Big Grin

Don't understand why, I do a whole lot better when I play Bad Company. Gun
