That's what I use. It has worked out pretty well for me over the year I have been using it.

Once you have uploaded the picture, look under the picture and copy the "IMG Code" which can then be pasted in your post on most boards set up to handle that sort of thing. The "Direct Link" and "HTML Code"appear there as well, but "IMG Code" has generally worked for me.

My personal favorite is Picasa 2 it allows for some editing and has a web album that you can make public or private. Have never messed around with photobucket though it is quite popular...

Dick, let's see if I can give you some clear directions on how I do it.

1. Pick a photo to copy to your computer photos. Left click on mouse, save picture, name it. Now it should be stored in your computer photos.

2. Sign into your photobucket account. If you already have photos there, you don't have to sign in to share but try it anyways if you are having problems.

3. Hit the "Browse' button and it will bring up your computer photos to select from. Click on the one you want and it should take you back to the photobucket page with that photo id now showing on the first line next to "browse".

Hit the upload button. It should load if the photo is not too large. It will tell you that the upload was successful and you will see that photo below.

4. Left click on the words "Direct link" below the picture and you should see a yellow box with the word "Copied" appear.

5. come on back to the military.com conversation page and just like you want to respond, click that on.

At the top, you will see selections like bold, Italics...click on the one second from the end that looks like a painting. Put the mouse arrow in that area, right click and select "paste". You will see the image id appear in that box. Then click the very small "OK" box just below there. ** Make sure you remember to hit the OK button as that is a step I was missing when I first started.

You should see the image id numbers/letters appear in your message area.

Go ahead and write whatever you want to add, then click "Post Now" like you always do with posts.

See if that works for you.

Good luck, Don

I selected this photo so I could walk through it while coming back and typing the process for you.

I also use Photobucket and the Bulk Uploader works well, it lets you upload up to 100 photos to Photobucket at a time. The "Generate HTML and IMG code" feature and then the "IMG images for message boards" feature lets you copy multiple IMG codes at one time. I've been using this to post my airplane photos over at Warbirds.com, I post as many as 140 photos at a time and it takes about 15 min to post all of them.
You can take a look at the airplanes at this link, but don't bother if you have dialup, at least 75 pictures per page
