This game has been out for a while now and I think it is waaaaay better than Ace Combat 6.

Do any of you guys play it? The online battles are great when you can have four teams of two.





I also really enjoy doing take offs and landings, not just from bases but from carriers as well.

The best part about the online play is when I have my son, Donnie, as my wingman. He'll be playing along from a Marine Corps base in NC or CA. With the headsets, we can coordinate our attacks.

A lot of folks were online playing last night. We have some pretty fun dogfights. Four on Four, short range missles only or sometimes guns only. Comms between your wingmen really help using the headsets.



For the online play, you can choose either "VS" or "Arena".

"VS" lets you join the dogfighting, up to 4 on 4.

"Arena" is more of a map area. Four teams of two if enough join in. Each team has to destroy the other team's aircraft carrier and base. The bases are protected by SAMs, etc. It's important to pick the right aircraft and missles/bombs to inflict more damage cutting down on your sorties.

Lots of fun.

I'm surprised more of you folks aren't into it. Maybe those that are into the dogfights, etc would rather play on their computer jet games. I know my brother loves those.

Hmmm.... I'll have to look into it. I've loved the Ace Combat series, never tried Over G yet.

The guys I was playing with last night all agreed, Ace Combat 6 isn't squat compared to Over G. Much more realistic handling, etc.

They mentioned some other game called "Hawk" or something. Most of them said that was lame but I have never tried it.

We all agreed, someone needs to make a helicopter game like these. If I only knew how to make these games, I'd be rich!!!

I had Over G when it first came out but I really didn't like it much and traded it in after a while. Ace Combat is more of an arcade flight game while Over G was supposed to be more "sim".

The new game coming out is H.A.W.X. and it's a Tom Clancy game. It's not been released yet but the demo is available on Live. I've downloaded it but I haven't played it yet.
