I recently bought a new RAZR V3. I have the disc that came with it but every time I try to install the software, it doesn't work. I have the phone connected to my PC w/a USB cable and it's powered up.
When the installation gets to certain point, I get a pop-up window that says the device isn't connected.
My goal is to be able to transfer pics from my phone to my PC.
This is really aggrevating since I have almost NO computer skills.
PLEASE HELP!

Had a problem like that too. On a xp system. Purchased a package on ebay that came with2 chargers, 1 car, 1 home, Moto Phone tools, usb cable (already had one so now I have 2), a disk LOADED with sounds, ringers, screen savers and "utilites" Whisper. I had already went out online and downloaded USB drivers for the phone. After installing everything, it worked like a charm. But now, the PRIMARY PC is now a Vista machine. Having issues accessing the phone but it will charge on the usb cable. I've just not spent much time on it since the other PC it use to connect too is still in the house. I think it was the right combo of phone drivers along with phonetools that got it up and working. I was able to download all my data from the phone, upload ringtones, phone book, etc.. it even wants to be a modem. It just doesn't play well with outlook 2007. The deal I got cost me 2 bucks (no kidding) and was from http://www.everydaysource.com/

If you have HSI, I'll email you the drivers I have unless you already have them to see if that helps. PM me if you want them and give me the email address I should send them to..

I have vista also and Sync Center comes right up upon plugging into USB. I believe that there is an update for the phone directly from Samsung, but it doesn't work under Vista, read up about it. Also, bluetooth works for the file transfers of videos, mp3s and pics, but can't get it to sync with outlook. Also, it's Vista home premium that I have...

Sorry I haven't been on the boards in a while, but you shouldn't connect the phone until the install program tells you to do so.

If you are looking for more to do with your Motorola phone, go to www.howardforums.com, they have information on "hacking" your phone to get rid of all the carrier information on your phone.

If your computer has bluetooth capabilities, you can transfer files thru that. That's how I transfer to mine.
