| ROLL TIDE ROLL!! |
Is anyone else having mass problems with their Good work phones since they did upgrades to the servers over the weekend? My phone now locks up several times a day requiring a soft reset to get it going again.....this is turning into more of a paper weight than a valuable tool....I'm ready to float test this thing!

Same here. My service has become extremely unreliable. I have to hard reset my phone in the AM and then again in the PM…

Yup....I put in a trouble ticket and they fixed "something" in the system. Seems to be slightly better now, but only time will tell...

Belay my last. It sucks even more than round 1, so I went with a hard reset to return it to factory specs and have NOT reinstalled the Good software. I have a workticket thru my ESD that was forwarded to TISCOM. It seems as though I'm not the only one with major problems with this upgrade....bottom line is, it SUCKED. (thats putting it nicely, too)

To make it even better, blue tooth no longer works either. I guess I have to pull over while driving down the interstate now to answer my phone. In addition to no more blue tooth, the Wifi doesn't work either. I think I'm going to do the same thing and ditch the whole Good Link thing all together. What a wonderful idea this was!!!

I was reading a website at work the other day that states they are in testing of both the iPhone and Android based phones to ensure that they meet the security features needed. Even though Good supports them, the DoD and USCG does not allow it at this time.

I know the CG doesn't support them at this time and may not since they are not Microsoft based. CG has a serious MS bias.

My HTC was an "Ozone". Phone manager is getting me another "New" one and he informed me they are looking at changing providers to improve signal....

FTG, this is your favorite neighbor from Crawfordville! We use the Ipaq Glisten with AT&T. So far it's been working great with the Good Messaging upgrade. Sometimes it's a little slow when you unlock it but overall for text, phone, e-mail, and web browsing it works good. I heard a lot of other people say the Tilt freezes a lot even without the Good software. By the way, you still a diehard Jeff Gordon fan?

For those people with an HTC Pro Touch II or anything with the HTC Sense technology on it you need to disable it or it will continue to crash. The HTC overlay does not play well with GOOD. Go to Start -> Settings -> Right Softkey -> More.. -> Today -> Items and uncheck the HTC Sense. Also, make sure to check GOOD. Once you OK out of that the GOOD welcome screen will be your home screen and the crashing should stop. Also, please remember that TISCOM did not disable the bluetooth and wireless because we thought it would be cool to **** everyone off. These types of mandates come straight from DISA and we have no choice but to enforce them.

Okay... here we go. I disabled the TouchFLO crap and it seems to work MUCH better after a hard reset and re-install of the Good software. Now.... (yup, there's always a "now")... I cannot access my personal contacts that are stored on my SIM card! Really??? When I press the "Contacts" button, the Good software automatically routes me to the Good work contacts. I though I found a work around to this by reprogramming the PTT side button to my contacts. This worked great.....press the PTT button and my personal contacts showed up! I turned my phone off and on to make sure things would work, and low and behold....the Good software now makes the PTT button go to the work contacts again! I can't change it anymore..... What now? I have all kinds of important contacts in my SIM card that I CANNOT access to place a call to these people!

Try copying all of your contacts into your OUTLOOK personal contacts. Once there, the phone should see them. under the phone itself there is a sim card management util under settings. Try using that to copy to personal contacts. I can see all of mine both business and personal.

I already used the SIM manager to copy the contacts over. Its not that my contacts list is empty, its that the Good software forces me to the work contacts (ie: Global) and will not allow me to see my personal ones.... I'm sure it is an easy fix... I'm not software/phone/computer stupid and I've tried everything that I can think of....
