Hello, I just got to my first unit out of boot camp (378' cutter) and am planning on going IT. Once I put my name on the A-School waiting list in 4 months, assuming I'm not held for any reason, about how long should I expect to wait? Right now, the list stands at 29 people, but the wait time says >6months. Thanks in advance.
Not sure how many classes they push through a year now, but it's like 14 body's per class so figure approx 1 class every 3 months. Most likely it'll be 6-9 months for ya. Get your quals done, keep your nose clean, and You'll be there in no time.
I spent a year on the list, but that was when it was only 2 classes a year.
I agree with eaclark, nothing is worse than getting in trouble and having to wait another 6 months to put your name on the list. I've been watching the list like a hawk for the past 6-8 months and its moving pretty fast. I would expect 4 months or so.
