You're right. I'll stop now.

Crystal ball tells me I'm headed to Yorktown. How far away is Stafford and where can I ride some dirt?

Congrats Tony! You deserve it! I've been so busy lately I didn't catch this one.....could it be that I'm losing interest in Coast Guard stuff?

Well, YEAH!

Tony, Stafford is too long a commute to Yorktown, about 100 miles. Riding dirt? The mountains man....I don't ride dirt so I don't know what the heck you're talking about anyway! You might be able to find some country living over in Gloucester...

Tony,

Give Brent a call...he'll tell you all about stafford.

Stafford is a bit of a long way, but I know people who do it regularly. I even know a guy who commutes daily from richmond to D.C. he's freaking nuts but anythings possible if you got the right work hours and such.

Sorry for the confusion fellas.

Stafford is where the newly "promoted" ENS Ron Wright lives... he's the only other person I know who dirt bikes in the VA area. So that was directed at him.

As for Yorktown, I'm sure I'll live as close and as "safe" as possible to the TRACEN.

Standing by to stand by.

Thanks Dan for the kudos. Hope all is well with you and yours.

I have found a few places near the mountains...an hour and a half or so....I also found out about a local club with a track...

Here are some links.

That ought to get you started.

From what I understand, there is some good riding in NC as well.

We'll have to plan a trip. Braaap

Belated congrats Tony in case I forgot to send it to you.

Ron,
Do you live in Stafford? I moved south down to Fredericksburg. I also ride dirt bikes with my son. We go over the river into Southern Maryland. Where are you riding?

Thanks Man.

Looks like I might have 2 riding buddies in the VA area come this summer. Headed to Yorktown in 08, I'll be bringing my dirtbike.

I ride at the Southern Maryland ATV/Dirt Bike Park. Its okay but I'm always looking for someplace closer. Chris McCann goes out there quite a bit with me.
