The cut is zero because they are playing it safe. I think they may have gone a little too deep on this years list and that's got some people worried. I assume that if the last three aren't made this year they will have to carry them over. Either way, I would expect the cut to go up in the next month or two. By the time promotions are all said and done next year they will probably make 8-12 ISM Warrants. That from my crystal ball. #3.
The big adjustment came last year in October. Good luck to all. I would like to think they will make as many as Ctaylor1790 is guessing, but there are very few ISM warrants out there, and even less ready to give up a good thing.
I have not heard of any but honestly I have not been keeping track of anything. I'll start worrying about things when I get a phone call (if that occurs). If there is one person however I would be surprised, there were few IT's that lateraled over to IS.
I'm hearing rumors that the 3 that have not been offered a job yet this year may have to wait another year until something becomes available. Sucks to be us and sucks more to be them.

About the only time I think about it is when Chris mentions it I'm putting in for the next DCO board, I'll be starting my Phd by then so I should have enough education to get a decent rank hopefully. That will be my backup plan.

have to have something to occupy my time, education keeps my mind from getting stale. For the phd I'm going to have to cough up some bucks though, My GIBILL is tapped out and I'm paying for stuff on my own now. Nova Southeastern has a good Information Systems PHD with a concentration on Information Security. Right up my alley. I'm going to enroll this winter after about a month break.
I figure I'll give the board a shot and see what happens. Could not hurt to try.
