5th Bn is moving back to Las Pulgas though.

I was in Las Pulgas from 1975-1978, and again 82-87. Does anyone have photos of what it looks like now from The top of the hill to the west

The one on the right across from the Pool is the new PX, the one closest is the Gym and the one on the left is the newer barracks

Nope..the comm units of 11th Marine Regiments are combined now in the newly renovated, old chow hall!

Its been a while since I was in Pulgas. It doesn't look like it has changed any. I can say for sure I do not miss running up those mountains though. Would anyone have any photos of the gun park?

They still talking about moving 5/11 to pulgas? they been talking about that for years man. stuff don't change do it. anybody around here from 5/11 from 2000 to 2003 time frame? iraq invasion brothers?

I was told 5/11 was there when I left in Feb 2009 after deployment. Didn't stick around to find out though.

Well I guess my old barrecks is gone. Are the qounsets still on the hill by the Gun Park?

When my unit R 5/11 got back from Iraq in 2007 we moved into Las Pulgas.

I love those pictures of Las Pulgas I was there from June of 1971 to November of 1973. I was with Bravo 1/11. Also did some work with the Regimental S-1. The only pictures i can find is on the basketball courts. Used to climb the hills to get a beer bust at the end of the run and climb. We were a 105 battery. I was in the FDC as an 0848. We had come home from Vietnam Hill 55 in Quang Tri in June of 1971.
