I retired in 1973 as an Sfc E-7 with x amount of retired pay. I have been getting the cost of living raise each year. I do not expect more. I do not expect to get the same amount that an E-7 gets now. If I wanted more, I would have stayed in longer. The benefits that I receive as a military retiree are great. I am on Tricare for Life, a wonderful benefit which in my opinion cannot be beaten by none. The government cannot keep giving us all that we would like to have. I look at neighbors without health insurance or getting low wages and I feel sorry for them. It seems like some military retirees want as much as they get plus much more. There has to be a limit. I am not "well" off but am very happey for what I do get. Larry Dearborn-Maine
