I am Perry G. and everything the government get has done since the 80's with the tricare has been dissapointing. When you join the military you are told you have free health care by recruiters. We have soldiers going overseas protecting out country knowing there families are not taken care of with the right medical and dental benefits. Thes families should have free healthcare and not have to pay for nothing we should get together and vote out the people that are not willing to take care of soldiers families. Next time when your in bed with your wife think of the Soldier wife that has no one in bed with her and she has to take of everything while he is gone.

The "small" 20.9% increase is just a foot-in-the-door. This is a bad year to make these kind of increases, as retirees will not get a COLA this year. DOD has yet again shown their destain for retirees.

"Defense health care officials didn't do the Obama administration any favor Wednesday..."
Awww, poor Obama. He just can't seem to catch a break today. Even those racist defense officials go against his best wishes. |

I just DO NOT understand! I did my 20 years (USMC & Navy) of HONORABLE service for this great nation of ours and this is what I get in return? I remember when my dad retired from the Air Force in 1972 he did NOT even have to pay for medical (Tricare) until a few years later. Now it is almost like a BROKEN PROMISE. They should do the same to the Congress, Senate and The President too. See how they like it. "Fair play"!

and all of you guys who are retired will have to pay taxes on things like pacemakers, powered scooters and hearing aids under obamacare. all the increases in taxes and fees so the govt can continue to support people who arent even citizens or citizens who refuse to get off the welfare teat for 2-4 generations.this must be what he meant by reparations dont go far enough.

This really sucks. All that we did for the country and now we KEEP getting SCREWED. AT least they could wisper in your ear and tell you that they love you as they do it to you.I have a supplement insurance that's just for tricare users. It's called ASI.It pays for anything that tricare will not pay............

Listen up people and listen good. This was NOT Obama that did this to US, it's the Health Care Corporations be it Insurance, Medical Supplies or whatever! More than likely over half of these Corporations are owned by Chinese or Some Other Foreign Investors, you think they give a rats ass about American Citizens? We are FOOLISHLY allowing these people to take control of this country because the people in it ARE THE COUNTRY.

Yet, most of the people who rail against these increases will also deny that a "Public Option" is anything BUT a good thing for The United States. Can't you see? They do not care now, nor will they ever really care about YOU, they simply want MORE of your MONEY.
THAT, to me, is the strangest thing about the whole healthcare issue, and why "conservatives" don't get it yet is the single strangest thing of all. Just read the topic once again... "Small Inpatient Fee Hike of 21% "????? Yeah, right. It's all President Obama's folly. |

But that is the point of finally having a government backed alternative to the insurance companies. There are so many good reasons to have such a policy, but just think how fast Congress will take action to finally address the Illegal Immigration policy, once such a program was in place? Like NOW, that's how fast. Does anyone think that conservatives will NOT immediately demand more protections against possible fraud by non-citizens? I may not agree with all the hyperbole assigned to the immigration issue, but who will complain about it if we DO actually pass such legislation? Think of being able to move to any city you want, and your insurance policy goes with you, no extra charges, ever. No cut-off because you got really sick, no extra bills to cause you to declare bankruptcy, no people denied access for any reasons... it would be absolutely GOOD for the economy. How many people never move to a new job or new opportunities because they would lose their healthcare? MILLIONS, that's how many. To be this close to such a revolutionary policy, one geared towards the health of all of our citizens and at the same time just continuing to complain about higher and higher bills from the systems we now MUST accept? It's nuts. It's totally insane. |

Not sure what to say or where to start.
I never thought a 21% increase in anything could be considered "small". If it is a small increase can we the people give them a small decrease in pay? Maybe a 21% pay decrease? After all that is what they are doing to the retirees! I know this must be a strange idea but why not honor our contracts! and change the contracts of those coming into the military. It is a shame that people will try to do this, oh wait if you get killed you can get a grave marker. wooohooo way to go US Government! Our sacrifices seem to mean absolutly nothing to everyone that we defend. |

Someone please explain what the 21% fee increase is that has been mentioned on this forum in the past few days. I have seen nothing about it in the press or on TV,and no posts describe what the increase is for. Thank you
