I hear a lot about "as long as female sailors are able to do their job as well as they're male shipmates, etc, etc..." and "It is difficult enough for male sailors..why would any woman want to serve on a sub?" Well, they would if not for any other reason than the novelty of it. Is anyone going to ask a guy who has served aboard ships with women, what they think? How difficult it is for both genders? It's a big Navy, there are other places to serve.
