What is the confusion? The military member earned their benefits to make themselves a more viable asset to the public. It is not to be past to the ones who more then likely will not serve their country. With the national debt as it is and the DOD budget being chopped, what would the true cost be the the tax payer passing benefits off to family members. Why are people attempting to push socialism.
