First of all. I served five years in the military and my husband just retired from active duty. I am insulted by those that feel that a spouse supporting a member is not entitled to certain benefits because of greed! Grant it there are many spouses that fall in this category, but not all do.

With that said, there is no reason why GI bill benefits should not be transferred to dependents. It is an entitled that the member earned and they should be able to do what they want with there entitlement. Its a small gift for serving there country.

I also feel there should be strict guidelines on the benefit so that the "greedy" don't misuse it.
