Rep. Steve Buyer (R-Ind.), ranking Republican on the veterans affairs committee, has a bill (HR 4539) that would, among other things, raise that ceiling for VA-backed loans for refinancing to at least $417,000

I believed that this has been raised to $417,000 for some time now.

WE are really sick and tired of so many people whinning about how much they're in debt!!! We've lived within what I make & my retirement without a debt ballance over $2000.00 for the past 12 years. No! I'm not bragging, you should all feel sorry for the fact, that because we lived that way I don't have enough credit, and at my age can't get any, and now don't make enough to buy my wife a home anyway. We're older now and would like to get the money I've paid in to SBP to but a home. We're both over 55 and would like to make the best of what time we have left. There should be a clause that allows for the purchase of a home/&land so we can finally enjoy the few years ahead. Cashpoor
