this is another prime example of this SORRY *** ADMINISTRATION'S POLICIES>
They don't give a DAMN about our troops Active,Retired or otherwise. Many of those BUTTHOLES have never worn a uniform. Especially the wannabe commander-in-chief. Let me correct that, he had one but never wore it.

Not being familiar with the inner workings of the USA regs.; off the wall I believe this troop fits within the following criteria/range(s) of the definition: "DEPLOYABLE".
"Deployable: the condition(s), both mental and physical, wherein a service member qualifies for deployment to fully perform and carryout those duties inherent to that service member's occupational speciality, rank and/or grade.
TO WIT: This member cannot perform a pushup or perform a pull/chin-up. Therefore, this service member is required to be able to successfully comeplete and pass a pre-deployment physicl fitness test. FINDINGS: (at company, if not platoon, level), this service member CANNOT perform all duties required in occupation, rank/grade, time in service, age.
Long story short, Sergeant Major and First Sergerant, why isn't this man discharged...or placed within a Casual Platoon" awaiting medical retirement or CofG discharge due to physical/medical condition.
I sincerely apologize for the rant. I just hate dereliction of duty, but, it has been said, 'can't cure stupid'.
I'm glad we're back to the old format,
Respects,
Sergeant Major

This is sad that the Army will do anything to get their soldiers numbers, even if he has a diability. The VA may disapprove any service connection since the Army is sending him back to War. I am not against the War, but this is just going to far.
I had some Army Reserve recuirter come up to me when I was at a auction Saturday telling me how much fun they have. Even the word of cancer didn't scare him away, he was out to do numbers. Even if I was healthy, I would go back to the ship I was on before I went Army Reserves.

"Wonderful to hear you retired because the fewer GUNG HO IDIOTS we have like you in our military the better. I unfortunately met several of your kind during my 8 years on active duty in the Vietnam era but was hoping most of you had come to your senses by now. Of course that was a bit far fetched. Try thinking for yourself instead of letting some half-witted baboon think for you. Duh!!![/QUOTE]

Every time our nation has a war or conflict, some poor Soldier, Sailor, Airman, or Marine seems to get victimized in this way.

Wonder why recruitment is going down? Stories like this keep many young men and women away from the Armed Forces. This sort of thing needs to stop-this young man did more than his part so send him home!

"Disabled Soldier Returning To War, Facing 'Stop Loss'"

How low can we go? I never thought I'd see the day when the US would send disable troops into combat.

What's wrong with this story? First off, in order to be considered "disabled" you would have had to be found "unfit" by the APDES or Army Physical Disability Evaluation System which would have led to this soldiers separation from the Army period, regardless of what his Commander or physican recommended. In order to be referred to the APDES a physican would have to recommended a permanent profile; whether a P3 for his headaches, H3 for his hearing, or S3 for his PTSD, since this story does not identify these factors, it is simply another liberal media hack job at undermining the military. Last point, a permanent profile is only a recommendation to a Commander that a soldier has a medical condition that may impact their ability to reasonable perform their military duties, it is still the Commander's responsiiblity to ensure that the soldier is assigned to a duty assignment/position that is compatable with their profile, which sounds like they have, so what is the issue?

Once again, the ENTIRE Army Medical records and administration system is in DIRE need of major overhaul.
From just keeping accurate DIGITAL records of EVERY deployed troop, to the adjudication of percentage of disability, the AMEDD has NOT kept pace with the advantages of CD/DVD medical records.
Had a 21st Century technology been introduced when we first got involved in the GWOT, this kind of "Catch 22" shafting of our non-deployable veterans would not even be an issue. When you've got state side less- ons = a moron with not even a shred of common sense with the
power to ruin already shattered lives from previous combat related injuries, with arbitrary decisions based on
opinion ( and the desire for a better OER ) you get situations like this nightmare.
