I was born into the Army Air Corp (1946), then in 1953 was raised in the Marines (my father's first love), then he joined the Air Force (too long of a story for here). I married an AF guy; divorced; then married again and then joined the Army, so my son was a double brat. Yep. I'm a Brat, and now that I'm grown into it, don't mind at all (though I sure did as a child at times -- in the '50's we were considered to be as gypsies, etc, -- even by some teachers). I went to high-school in Japan, and we're to have our reunion in Tenn. this year. I LOVED Japan, and the Japanese people I knew! So, Younger Brats, it's does get better when you realise all the things you've seen and done, and learned... FABULOUS, actually.
I know how you feel. I'm a army brat, my father serve 30 years, and germany was wonderful. I miss the army life. I settled down with a wonderful man from camden,sc.
