When I was stationed in San Francisco a lady that helped clean our on base house when we were transfering had named her daughter Starburst, and her son Sunrays. She was a very ummm cosmic lady.

When I went to high school in San Bernadino there was a set of twins named Diamond and Emerald..they were identical with the exception of their eyes..Di had light blue eyes and Em had deep green eyes. I also knew a family that named their kids after luxury cars..daughters Porsche, Mercedes and a son named Lincoln.

While respecting cultural differences I still can't help but to chuckle at a cute little boy's name who was born and raised in the USA. His name if Funke--pronounced Funky.

Funny names seem to flow freely in my family. I have 3 cousins in one family named San'Juniper, San'Habiscus, and San'Fresca and 4 cousins in another family named named similar to mom and dad whose first names both end in "Lott" her name is Charlott and his name is Perlott, and their girls are Merlotte, Camelotte, Sharlotte, and Pilotte (I'm not kidding). Finally, in the last of the bunch, 8 kids in one family named for a Bible passage -- Peacea, Ona, Eartha, Gooden, Willeth, T'warden, Mheana, Amheana (twins)

Here's a good one. We were stationed in France when I was born. And since we have a French sounding last name, my parents thought it would be cute to give me a first and middle name that were also French. Unfortunately, it never occured to them the ridicule that I would have to endure going through life with a name that has an English translation of Jack Peter Small!!! Roll Eyes

Wife here; not hubby.

I had an art teacher in high school who was named; and I am dead serious...Jack Dick! And my grandmother has a brother named Harry Peter...they just call him Pete.
I also know a couple who had three boys and were pregnant with their fourth...they wanted a girl so bad; but just to be safe they said they were going to pick a boys name anyway. They said it was going to be Justin Casey... "Justin Casey they had another boy!" Roll Eyes They thought that was just sooo funny and cute. The unfortunate thing is they had another boy...and went through naming the poor thing Justin Casey!

Up until this spring, I lived in a town that doesn't realize it isn't the 60's anymore. At work, there are two girls who are sisters named Rainbo and Sunshine. I guess that epidural sometimes numbs the brain eh?
