That was a nice job (and good publicity) your flotilla did at the Norwalk Oyster Festival.

I went to the first one 30 years ago - and many after until I moved to Florida.

Thanks for the reply! I was hoping that you can tell me what you guys do, how much time is involved, etc. I am prior service air force so I don't know much of what the coast guard aux does but I love the ocean and being on the open water. I do not live down by Fairfield or Norwalk (I'm in Ellington), so it will be a commute for me to get down that way.

If you go to ff.cgaux.org and enter your zip code, you'll have the option of pulling up either 5 or 9 closest flotillas. South Windsor seems to be the closest to Ellington; by clicking on that link you'll be able to find some contact information. How much time you want to spend on Auxiliary activities depends on your schedule, your interests, and the level of activity in your area.
