Can anyone tell me where to find the budgets for district and national?

I have seen the division and flotilla annual budgets.

Since the member dues are divided between the four levels surely there is accountability for monies recieved and expensed at all levels.

It is just that after forwarding this question up the Chain of Leadership I have heard nothing back from the District or National level.

You have hit a major pet peeve.

Your district budget may be published in the district newsletter or the on its web site. Most districts do not do so. You would think as a dues paying member you would be entitled to this but district and national budgets are treated as state secrets.

The USPS publishes its highly detailed budget on its website where any member can find it. I believe CAP does the same thing.

At a national level there is an unaudited financial statement published in the Beacon, usually in the Spring Issue. This is the financicial statement of the the CG Aux Association Inc not GNational. It is so high level that it is meaningless. They also change how they report the numbers every 2 or 3 years so any long term analysis and comparison is also defeated.

GNational Aux does not publish its budget.

However all is not lost. You can get the GNational non-profit tax filing from GuideStar "http://www2.guidestar.org/". Registration is free. Some districts have large enough income that they must also report.

Some flotillas also have non-profit corporations although these have been outlawed since at least 1999 (two AuxMans ago).
