There is a relatively new three times weekly (M W F) boating show sponsored I think by Boat US. The hostess is a member of my flotilla, and she is looking for news worthy Auxiliary segments.

Hard to elicit a comment out of you guys. The way she wears her hair on the show is the way she wears it in uniform. For the Uniform Nazi out there, it is not exactly regulation, but I don't think anyone has ever given her any grief about it. I wish I were drop dead gorgeous.

Hello.. women own boats too. I'm so sick of this type of pandering to the "male brain between the legs". What's with the tight low v-neck body suits? Totally inappropriate and unprofessional.
Notice all of the comments in this thread have to do with how the woman looks-- and nothing to do with the content of the program. And the bikini fishing? Are we back in the 1950's? Who produces this anyway? What a piece of crap. |

The admiral just got a look at the young lady and said she would be welcome to crew on our OPFAC any time. My sentiments exactly! It sure would be an improvement over what we usually get for crew.

She does. And for your information, she owns a 42 foot Sea Ray. Been in the auxiliary a couple of years, and she and the guy who was smart enough to take her off the market about six months ago have concetrated on the Vessel Examination career path. They are not qualified in the boat crew program to my knowledge, although she took a course and passed the 100 Ton license recently. I don't know if the license has been issued yet. The Video show is sponsored by Boat US, and there is an affinity discussion group at Theboaters.com. Lots of interesting discussions going on like it is illegal to clean fish at sea. |

And how does that change the fact that the Web TV program she hosts is a sexist piece of crap? Why don't you ask her why she wears plunging necklines and tight tops-- and why there was a whole segment devoted to fishing in bikinis? |

I am sorry but I don't see how just because she has ONE segment on ONE of her episodes about bikini's make the production a sexist piece of crap? I think the clothing that she wears is tasteful and her production is well done. I don't think that the bikini segment was not in poor taste either. Women wear bikinis during warmer months of the year and I am sure that they wear them fishing. The big deal here is that the did it while ice fishing. And??? |

Yuh.. uh-kay. Real appropriate attire.  Can you say Hooter's Girl outfit?     But look at what she replaced! Do we see a pattern here?   (Edited to add) Oh, and buy the way, that bikini ice-fishing story was labeled "Fish and Chicks". I'm not kidding. Your witness! |

I believe FW is interested in "attractive," but it may be limitted to not liking the female uniform "crossing guard hats" and the "girl scout" neckties.   Don't mind her though -- every once in a while she goes off on one of these rants.  ...gjd |

What would you recommend for an attire? Complete skin covering from head to toe? I STILL don't see anything wrong with the clothing. I would consider it casual, TASTEFUL attire. And they are not at a restaurant Are there other issues here? They are beautiful women, So they put a spin on Fish and Chips. They put something fun and lighthearted in their show. Big deal. Get over it. |
