Hello everyone,
I am a Marine Corps Reservist and I have been thinking about joining the Coast Guard Auxiliary. Can I do both at the same time. I havent been able to find anything on the web. I get out fairly soon and I will definitly want to volunteer then.

Any feedback on this would be great.

Yes, you can be active duty or reserve, even USCG active duty, and still be in the auxilliary, since we are volunteer civilians.

We actually have quite a few Navy reservists within our division. Generally they clear it with their CO's in order to avoid confusion. Sometimes our training conflicts with their "weekends" and OCCASIONALLY, their CO's will let them do AUX stuff and count it for their drill time... bonus!

Wait till you get your first USCG Award that can be worn on your USMC uniform... You will get the 3rd degree at first and then everyone will want to join. At least thats what happened to me.
