FW, have you ever tried kofta? They're ground beef and lamb meatballs, a feature of Levantine cuisine. Tender, flavorful, altogether delightful. OK, we can tell that I haven't had lunch. OH, and this is 16358498, I just got tired of that number, made me wonder if a tattoo was next. Sweetsuds refers to my soapmaking activities and whatnot.

Is the soapmaking a hobby or is it a business?

OK, I just got confirmation from my instructor that a black scarf is A-OK. And I make soap as a hobby, although who knows where things could lead if I perfect the Deployment Soap I'm working on?

Okay, I'll bite. Just what the heck is "Deployment Soap?" (Google didn't help at all. . .)

Of course Google wouldn't help, it doesn't exist yet.
When I heard that my husband was to be deployed, (he is now), I started working on a long-lasting, gentle, antibacterial, moisturizing soap that smells good w/o being overpowering, and using a minimum of artificial ingredients. In short, the perfect soap to take on long trips where you'll be involved in hard, dirty work, and the showers aren't exactly 5-star hotel wonders. I've just about got it down- I want it to lather better than it does now. It's an herbal citrus deal, and I'm not selling it, I'll be giving it away, so this is NOT an ad.

Why do I get the impression that this thread will still be ambling along when the original poster is NACO? Big Grin

Never happen. One doesn't need "sweetsuds" for that -- one needs "soft soap" skills.... Big Grin

Im guessing BTDT has more of a problem with this particularreligious exception than religious exceptions to uniform regs in general. I wouldn't normally crawl out on that branch with saw in hand but BTDT seems to have a bit of a problem with the hijab being worn at all. Im not saying BTDT is anti-Islam...I wouldnt dare go that far not knowing who he/she is. But the vitriol of the post sure sounds that way. Perhaps that question is better put "Do you have a problem with all religious reg exceptions or just this one?"
