What would you recommend for an attire? Complete skin covering from head to toe?

Perhaps something like this....

What's wrong with Hooters? Whenever I have been a good boy, (rarely) my wife takes me to Hooters for lunch. She wears a sweat shirt from Hooters with the words,"Delightfully Tacky, but Unrefined." I purchased it for myself but she confiscated it. My wife is not P.C.

Can you say Hooter's Girl outfit?

What would you recommend for an attire? Complete skin covering from head to toe? I STILL don't see anything wrong with the clothing. I would consider it casual, TASTEFUL attire. And they are not at a restaurant

Are there other issues here? They are beautiful women, So they put a spin on Fish and Chips. They put something fun and lighthearted in their show. Big deal. Get over it.

This is appropriate, tasteful, classy, and professional:

"Fish and Chicks" depicting bimbos in bikinis is "fun and lighthearted?" What if we showed black people in a water-melon seed spitting contest. Is that "lighthearted?" What makes it OK to be sexist but not racist?

FW,

I don't see any outfits that are outside the norm of what you would see in a typical business casual office environment, in a university setting, or on major television news channels (including CNBC), or walking through a neighborhood mall.

Maybe somethig else involved here...like a less-than-60-year old attractive female in the Auxiliary? Yes, that's right -- she's IN the Auxiliary (she's got at least an OS status Wink )-- and actually doing something in the organization.

I think the bottom line here is that YOU ARE OFFENDED by this. If that's the case, don't watch. Simple as that. They have done nothing wrong. They have been blessed with beauty. Good for them. If I had the looks like male model, then I would not be ashamed of it. But I don't. I am an average looking man with an average build but I don't get all bent out of shape because someone else is better looking. I have more confidence in MYSELF than that and don't need to bring in any PC crap. I know my heart. You don't know theirs so why judge? I agree with FandS in that there is something else involved here. Are you faulting someone that has the GUTS to offer a service to boaters?

By the way, what is different from the casual blazer that you have pictured and the casual sweaters she is wearing.

If you don't like what you see, maybe you need to go to a different sand box.

The difference is... Katie Couric is wearing a blazer. The young lady in the boating show is wearing tight leotard tops.

And excuse me.. faulting someone with the "GUTS" to offer a service to boaters? You mean pandering to the hormones of men who also boat?

And finally, you suggest if I don't like what I see, I go to another sandbox? So.. if something is wrong, I should let it continue without saying so? Then... these books/films/stereotypes are OK? You just tell black people that if they're offended not to look at them?

Does this mean I have to ask the crew if anyone is offended when I cruise past the nude beach while on patrol?

Katie up top is wearing a 'plunging neckline' with a pearl necklace. Could that be construed as a subliminal sexual message also?

I won't post the definition here, for risk of offending, but one could look up 'pearl necklace' on an alternate dictionary like TurdWords.com if they were so inclined.

FW, the reality is that news programs tend to use attractive presenters. In some cultures, even the presenter in the burkha would be seen as provocative because she doesn't cover her face.

Its not sexist, and its a little silly to try and equate that with the racist examples you've provided.

However, the tiller photo is very funny.

I guess I'll break the mold and actually make the first post in 2 pages that is actually in response to the actual question asked:

I think the VSC program and perhaps AWW are probably the most relevant and "new" issues that would be of interest to boaters.

I assume they aren't interested in doing a "yay, look at the what the Aux does" piece, but one might be nice.
