When I first transferred into my current AOR, 17 years ago, we used to perform missions with the AD, i.e., putting out oil booms, playing the bad guys for LE training, taking out tv station news crews for photo ops (with ADs aboard), transporting an AD accident investigation team to an allision site, carrying a Navy Seal team for an exercise,etc. Now we are on the sidelines, watching but not participating. Those really were the "good ol' days."
