I just volunteered for a 365 day deployment to Iraq, problem is I don't know how I will react as certain times of the year around anniversaries of tragic events I get real down and depressed. I will not rescind my decision to do my part based on past bouts with depression but I was hoping I could get some advice on how to treat this while in the AOR? I am afraid that if I bring this up I will be shipped home earlier than a year.

Any advice in how to adapt and overcome this minor disturbance would be greatly appreciated.
