Unfortunately, I did not find a good one in the beginning, which was in 2006. I've got to have help but this guy is very unprofessional and unpleasant to boot.
Do you know the rule for changing a VSO when you are almost two years into appeal? I've not had any help with this and desperately need advise.
You are free to choose another VSO, however, be careful. If you change too often, you can lose credibility with the VA.
It's important to insure that you keep credibility at all times.

Can C.U.E. be filed while already in appeal? Also, can administrative error be filed during appeal?
I'll tell you, this vso is one nasty guy. When I asked him why someone didn't tell my late husband that he needed to file a NOD (he had severe ptsd how should he have known?) that vso really lit into me and said "if you are looking for someone to blame, don't blame me!" Well,I wasn't looking for someone to blame but I'll tell you that by not knowing to file an NOD, it sure ended up costing my husband and now, me.
I know the VA has this huge manual to go by but where is our's? The last thing my husband wanted to do was appeal as he was on borrowed time and knew he would not make it through an appeal...he just kept sending new evidence (while he waited for his amended 215) and the va kept changing his date of claim. Some of his denials say he had a vso and some say he doesn't..what's with that? They are so screwed up in Columbia that I can't make heads or tails out of half the paperwork.
It took me four years and two VSO . I live in Seattle, Wa. The regional VA office is full of denials. I did not give up. Talk to the top supervisor of the VSO. If that does not work contact your Congress person. I currently have a claim in appeals after Dan filed a letter of disagreement for me. I recieved a letter telling me to stay within my own region. My own region did nothing!! Hang in there! Sally
