Husband says that his security clearance is in jeopardy if he invests in a European Mutual Fund?? That his security will be yanked because of the questionaire that asks if he has any vested interest outside of the US.....WTH is that all about? Is that even possible? Tell me it's not true or how to get around that---like having the Market Funds in my name or something like that---I'd hate to miss out on a great finance opportunity because of some goofy so-called security issue....

I would submit your question on a Military forum for a decent answer.

The form only asks the service member to disclose any interests he has outside the US. Investing in a mutual fund is hardly a threat to national security.

Mortgage--that was my line of thinking too! My feeling is that investing money into a foreign fund isn't a matter of national security....and it's just a European Fund--not Middle East Fund or some crap like that...
