Canberra has cancelled its order for about 11 Seasprite ASW/anti-shipping helos to supplement the RAN's current shipboard helo fleet.

Too bad the new ALP government doesn't see the need to replace these with Seahawks now. They are going to wait for their new white paper. Why? Its obvious they need more Seahawks, the sooner the better. The Sea Sprites should have entered the fleet ten years ago.

A buy of 16 or so Romeos would be rather nice, wouldn't it? I think it would be a good move - let's hope the beancounters approve.
