Thinking about joining reserves and interested in PS rating. Let's say I qualify for REBI. I understand it is a two week training and could count as my 2 weeks per year. Would i come out of REBI as E-4? When do you go to PS "A" school for specialized training?

Being a prior service Coastie will help, and it depends on what your civilian job is. Civilian LEO's usually go into PS and at the E-4 level (Direct Petty Officer Program).

But start with a recruiter first (gocoastguard.com or 1-800-GET-USCG or NOW-USCG).
