I'm trying to re-do my resume and I'm stumped by what I should put down for duties as a Port Security Specialist. I am not the best at writing resumes so any input would be great.

I have just completed A school, and will be promoted to Petty Officer Third Class (PS3) next week. Therefore, I have all the quals for PS3 and qualified in all weapons (p229/m9, M16, Remington 870).

I'd probably want something that includes, LE/DT abilities, training in radio comms, at/fp, homeland security, something about ECP's and VIC's, and for any other PS's out there, anything you can think of.

What are you actually doing and where?

I had to do resumes while applying for CWO (PSS); it it wasn't necessarily what schools and training I received, but what I actually did at units I had been assigned to (an old CGR Unit as a PS, two PSU's that deployed, and a current MSU in the IO shop, pre- and post-9/11).

What is the resume for? CGR or other?

Resume is just for civilian job. I'm not using what my quals are in the CG (I work in the financial world, looking for law enforcement in the future), but I just needed something that I can put down as a PS. I currently drill at a PSU, so you know what it's like. Something short in the resume, but very sweet.

If you are in the Boat Division, describe your duties there.

If you are in M@rsec Teams, describe your duties there.

If you're not sure, ask your Shipmates in your section for a laundry list of duties in your section.
