If anyone thinks they are special ops material, and want to join a special ops outfit, then they better start their training now, right now, I advise young people about going military from my experience I tell then to start training one whole year before enlisting, running everyday swimming every day, going without eating except for one small meal a day, usually MRE's, even to become skydivers do this and maybe just maybe they'll make it, otherwise, become a something else. God Bless our tropps
No thanks. I put in my work not realizing it would take me into cross-specialist medical in military service. Huge amount of head work, just enough physical to get out of the way when necessary. Equally huge amount of head work after commissioned --I'm sure from your post those reading already realize that three months training does not befit one to take charge in a specialty never before practiced, it takes ongoing learning and dedication to do the job.
The above comment is true but also tongue in cheek. Thanks for a bit of enlightenment. As a medtype, I've wondered about line specialties and how they start to get there.
I know a young man who enlisted in the Marines the year before last. He doesn't go to boot camp until he gradutes college in a couple months. Anyway, he goes out with the reruiter every Saturday for PT.
Keep smiling, everyone will wonder what you've been up to!
