My Dad was talking about a cousin that was stationed at a naval ammunition storage facility near Ft. Campbell KY in the late 60's early 70's. Can anyone tell me where it may have been. I live in the area and am not aware of the facility

I do not remember a NAD in Kentucky, but there was one in Martin County, Indiana which is about 100 miles NW of Louisville. The depot was named Naval Ammunition Depot, Crane. I believe it is now some kind of Combat Weapons Systems Center.

There was (may still be there) a Naval Ordnance Station in Louisville, Ky. But that is in the Northern part of the state.

Yes there is one here. It's the Old Clarksville Base on Fort Campbell. If you drive through you'll see the huge steel doors (most are used for unit storage now) and the pill boxs that the USMC used to man along the road. Intresting area. It's great for bicycling through as there isn't much car traffic these days.

Thanks for the information, I thought it might be old Clarksville base but was not sure. I used to run back there a lot and have been scouting the fishing lately.

Don't eat any fish that glow in the dark.

That's OK. Glowing third eyes are a delicacy. But never eat the lips!
