Ever been accused of being Gung-Ho? A Naval term? It is used for a sailor who is enthusiastic about his job, mission, or effort but often can be both an insult and a compliment. It is a Chinese phrase meaning, "work together", or "all together", such as when pulling a heavy weight. This was adopted by US Marines stationed in China just before WW II and made its way into the Naval slang of today.
