Hello,
I am a Veterans Outreach Manager for the 17th annual Veterans Holiday Celebration. I am contacting you with the hope you could help us promote our event. My job is to spread the word to as many Veterans as possible to let them know about this event on Sunday December 6th, 2009. Is there any way you post a flyer and our link on your website? In turn, we would be more than willing to help spread the word for your organization. All of us working together to help all Veterans! Thank you for your time! Below is a short description about the event and a link to our website. Over the past sixteen years, we have produced an amazing event at the VA facility in West Los Angeles – the Annual Veterans’ Holiday Celebration. This year we will continue our legacy of providing homemade meals, gifts, entertainment and a huge holiday party for the men and women who have given everything of themselves for our freedom and our Country. On the first Sunday of every December, the Veterans Department of Voluntary Services, VA VGLA, Family of Women, Men’s Divisions International, and the community at large, along with over 500 volunteers and local businesses, come together as one. This union of men and women helps us maintain our vision to provide a memorable meal, gifts, and entertainment, as well as much needed appreciation. We all have one common purpose: a strong desire to give back and honor the men and women who put their lives on the line in order for all of us to live in this wonderful country. As many of the Iraqi Veterans return with extreme cases of Post Traumatic Stress Syndrome and physical injuries, it brings to mind just how important the Annual Veterans’ Holiday Celebration has become, by honoring them, welcoming them back and showing, in a small but significant way, that there truly is a home for them to return to. http://www.vaevent.org/ Sincerely, Hampton Flanagan Veterans Outreach Manager Veterans Holiday Celebration http://www.vaevent.org/ West los Angeles Veterans Administration December 6th, 2009 "I know you believe you understand what you think I said, but I am not sure you realize that what you heard is not what I meant." - Oscar Wilde |
