Is there a web site lists the fields on the record of separation and what some of the abbreviations mean?

The faxed copy makes the box numbers and description unreadable.

The field I am currently interested in comes after the campaigns, decorations and one other field. My father's record has Field Artillery OCS and Intelligence

Officers did not receive the same documentation as enlisted personnel. Rather than a discharge, officers received a "Certificate of Service" (WD AGO Form 53-98 1 November 1944). The reverse of the form has information similar to that of the form used for enlisted discharge certificates. The center of the form addresses Military History:

22-23: Selective Service info
24: County and state
25: Home address at time of entry on AD
26: Date of entry on active duty
27: MOS and No.
28: Battles and campaigns
29: Decorations and citations
30: Wounds received in action
31: Service outside of U.S. and return
32: Service schools attended
33: Reason and authority for separation
34: Current tour of active duty
35: Education (years)

43: Remarks: Used as needed.

Thanks but another reason to wish the 1972 fire never happened.

My father was a FA sound and flash unit commander but doesn't list my father attending the officer's sound and flash ranging course.

It just lists the FA OCS and Intelligence courses.
